Car history: |
You are bidding on a 1979 Corvette that I purchased off e-bay 4 years ago that a re-seller out of Omaha, NE sold through a friend. The front bumper was off and inside the car. My lack of knowledge of vettes is why I purchased the car not knowing the front clip was a 1974. While some would call it a "junk yard dog", I made a cruiser out of it and have enjoyed driving it.
This is what I know about it: seats are 1974, motor is a 1982 L-82 out of a Camaro, original steering wheel and taillights come with. Things it still needs done: All vacuum controls hooked up and windshield wipers fixed. It does not have tilt column and the dimmer switch is on the floor. Paint color was changed from white to red two years ago. Message with any other questions and I will be happy to answer them. Miles 124,000 Transmission: Automatic Engine: V8 Title: clear Condition: used Fuel type: gasoline Interior: red Year: 1979 VIN Number: 194379S722264 Exterior: red
I received this question: Q: You have listed your Corvette as a 1979. The VIN you provided 194379S722264 is for a 1969 Corvette. The VIN for a 1979 Corvette would be 1Z8789S4XXXXX. The fifth digit would be a "4" for L-82 engine. Ref. "Corvette Black Book" by Mike Antonick. A: The vin that I provided is the one on the title. I'm pretty certain that the frame is a 1969 frame. All the parts I ordered to rebuild the rear end where for a 1969 vette.
